Once again OneCNC UK participated in the "Manufacturing Efficiency" open day at the invitation of Haas Automation on Thursday 21st May 2009 at the AMRC Sheffield, UK.

The Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre with Boeing, is located at The Advanced Manufacturing Park, Wallis Way, Catcliffe, Rotherham, S60 5TZ , UK.

It is a collaboration between world-leaders in the aerospace supply chain, key government offices and international academic institutions supporting the growth and success of high performance engineering and manufacturing companies and individuals throughout the region.

This is a great venue and the perfect opportunity for OneCNC UK to showcase OneCNCXR3 and in particular the High Speed machining real-time on a Haas machine to invited guests.

EASTEC 2009 was held at Eastern States Exposition Grounds, Western Springfield, MA USA May 19-21, 2009. In attendance for OneCNC was Michael (OneCNC USA) Ward (WMS USA) Kanasha (OneCNC USA) promoting the OneCNCXR3 range of products.

Manufacturers were invited to come by and see the much talked about OneCNCXR3 HS machining efficiency tool paths. OneCNC is now in the second year of producing this new time saving technique in CNC machining and manufacturers are pleased to have the ability to utilize the entire flute length of the cutting tool saving both time and money.

OneCNC HS tool path technology is included in all OneCNCXR3 milling products at no extra cost.

EASTEC 2009 provided another opportunity for OneCNC Showcase CNC manufacturing efficiency at minimum cost to assist manufacturers.

Marvo Technologies B.V. is a specialised metal-turning company in the city of Tilburg, in the Netherlands. Typical batch quantities can extend to 10,000 to 15,000 or more workpieces from a range on materials from aluminium to hardened steel.

On completion of an investigation of many CAD-CAM systems in 2008, Marvo ordered the highest level OneCNC Lathe system, CYB and implemented it in January 2009. A wide range of machine configurations made the choice of a CAD-CAM system a little difficult. With OneCNC Marvo are now making reliably, efficient programs for all their machines, and new orders have been undertaken which would have been previously impossible to produce.

‘We looked at other systems, some costing 2-3 times the cost of OneCNC, but in the important aspects of how we work, they did not offer more than OneCNC …..and quite often very much less. OneCNC is working above our expectations, we are very pleased.’
